2016 Holiday Assistance Program

Holiday Assistance Program

It’s difficult enough not to have enough–but at the holidays, it’s even more painful.

Every year, many area parents tell their kids that they cannot afford gifts, because they don’t even have money for essentials.

Fox Valley United Way works each year with a generous community of caring individuals, businesses and organizations to change that!.  Click here to learn more about our collective impact in 2016.

How can you help with Holiday Assistance 2017?

  • Sponsor an individual child or family:  Fox Valley United Way will send you detailed information about a family in need during the holiday season (November/December 2017) so you can purchase gifts for each child in that family. Due to the overwhelming needs of the community, we recommend spending a minimum of $50.00 to sponsor each child. Donations are then dropped off at our office.

  • Organize a Scarf, Hat, Mitten drive or Toy drive in your community:  These beneficial basic needs items are always in shortage.
The Scarf, Hat, Mitten Drive will provide children with items for the upcoming winter.  The Toy Drive will provide infants through 12 year-olds with fun gifts for the holiday season. All of the donated items can be dropped off at the Fox Valley United Way office.

  • Purchase a gift card:  By purchasing a gift card from a local grocery store, you can provide a holiday meal for a family in need.  These can be mailed to or dropped off at our office.

  • Provide a monetary donation:  All donations can be made by going to our secure online donation form below.  You can give by debit or credit card or PayPal.

  • Volunteer to help us organize the gifts distribution in mid-December!

Please note that all gifts should be unwrapped and donations of any size are appreciated.
