Frequently Asked Questions

How can I GIVE?

By clicking on the red DONATE button at right, you will go to our one-page form that will allow you to give what you desire. We offer you many options for giving. Want to give a debit/credit card donation? Want to donate a non-cash asset like stock, an automobile, a gift card, electronics, jewelry, artwork? We work with the iDonate Foundation to help us to sell these items to benefit your community.

Why should I GIVE?

The sole focus of the Fox Valley United Way is to address a broad range of health and human services needs in the Fox Valley. We assess the needs in our service area regularly and fund programs that have proven results, so you can be assured that your donation makes a difference. There are many advantages to having a single, community-wide fundraising effort. When you give to Fox Valley United Way, you help many different agencies (or you may choose which ones to support). This brings life-changing resources to thousands of individuals and families in the Fox Valley—from as far north as St. Charles to as far south as Plattville.

Are contributions tax-deductible?

Yes! Fox Valley United Way is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation under the applicable state of Illinois and federal laws. Therefore contributions to us are tax-deductible. When you use our online donation platform, you will receive an email that you can use when you file your taxes each year. Please consult your financial advisor or tax professional for further information.

What does it mean to be a Leadership Giver?

Any donor who provides $1,000 in a campaign year becomes a member of our Leadership Giving Society and is recognized at our annual breakfast each May.

How can I VOLUNTEER?

By clicking on the blue VOLUNTEER button at right, you will go to our online volunteer portal, Volunteer Fox Valley, that we created in collaboration with Aurora University. There are hundreds of opportunities in our area where you can put your passion to work to give hands-on help!
