Student Scholarships
Fox Valley United Way is committed to ensuring that all young children, birth to age five, have equitable access to early childhood resources and education. Investing in the health, education, and financial stability of families in Kane and Kendall Counties provides children with a strong foundation to achieve success in school and life.
The Fox Valley United Way Scholarship through Waubonsee Community College has been established to address the teacher shortage in the field of early childhood. We look to support individuals who are pursuing an early childhood degree to ensure that young children are guided, supported, and nurtured in their early learning.
This scholarship is open to students majoring in Early Childhood Education who reside in the Fox Valley United Way service area. Preference will be given to students who are bilingual, persons of color, or currently working in an early childhood center. Awards will be split evenly through Kane and Kendall Counties. Scholarships are available to new and returning Waubonsee students.
